Rumours from Singapore YTLP may not get enough power for the intended Data Centre from TNB. How will it affect the Nvidia venture with YTLP?

YTLP is an independent power producer (IPP) supplying power to National Grid. Will YTLP required to produce sufficient electricity to run this Data Centre? How YTLP going to build new power plant? Is special licence required and how long does it take for the power plant to be operational? Can it be ready by the time physical Data Centre facility already completed? More important is Nvidia willing to take the risk?

Also rumours saying Nvidia may be interested to take up 100 acres industrial land offered by Crescendo. Why TNB not willing to supply power to YTLP/Nvidia venture, but considering Crescendo/Nvidia venture? Does it has anything to do with previous interview Francis Yeoh gave years back?

What do you have to do now? Play safe, sell YTLP and wait for everything settled? Or hold on to YTLP share and doing nothing? I am more incline to lock in profit first. Let those with risk appetite to make more profit. I always believe a bird in hand worth more than 2 bird in the bush. Good luck!

The price of crude oil is about USD 80 per barrel.
If the FPSO vessels can be ready now, these oil companies are laughing all the way to the bank.

Talk with facts and figures, not the autie selling vegetable in Pudu market, her words has no value and credibility.

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 13): YTL Corp Bhd and YTL Power International Bhd have been included into the MSCI Malaysia Index, while Dialog Group Bhd habve been removed from the Index effective Feb 29.

In a statement on Feb 12, MSCI listed the inclusions and deletion.

The MSCI Malaysia Investable Market Index (IMI) is designed to measure the performance of the large, mid and small cap segments of the Malaysian market. With 94 constituents, the index covers about 99% of the Malaysian equity universe.

According to the MSCI website, the MSCI Malaysia Index dipped 0.41% in 2023.

The top 10 constituents are Public Bank Bhd, Malayan Banking Bhd, CIMB Group Holdings Bhd, Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd, Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd, CelcomDigi Bhd, Petronas Gas Bhd, IHH Healthcare Bhd and Hong Leong Bank Bhd.

I have explained several times on the debt situation at YTL Power, most of the debts are ring-fenced at the various assets level. The holding company level in fact has a net cash position.

If some parties do not understand the meaning of debt ring fencing, we need not argue with them. Foreign funds do understand.

AS Mabel calculated, YTL Power gearing is at about 58%, which is typical of any utility company. FYI, Wessex Waters has a gearing of 65% to 70% which is a norm for all other water companies in the UK. That's perceived to be a well geared and capital efficient structure by foreign funds and UK regulator.

In the stock market especially our KLSE.
Some can make a lot of money - Buy YTLPower.
Some lose a lot money - Buy Serba.
Some do not make money - Buy Insas.
Why ??
Some of reasons here.
1.) Lack of skill.
2.) Stubborn attitude. - Think that he is always better than others.
3.) "His stock is the best" behaviour. - Insas is the only best stock in the whole KLSE.

Those bought Insas in 2023, make a miserable profit.
Those bought YTLPower in 2023 made a fortune.

Analyse yourself whether the above statement is true or not.

Foreign investors maintained their net buying streak on
Bursa Malaysia, with an inflow of RM400.7m, marking
the third consecutive week of net purchases. Foreigners
recorded net buying every day, with Tuesday witnessing
