Please note that the tenant interested to lease data centre without AI from YTLP data centre is confidential due to NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement).
According to market rumour, a potential of 168 MW capacity of data centre without AI will lease to China's GDS Holdings Ltd.
Hence this news is yet to be confirmed by YTLP.

@redhotpepper, it will not make a difference even after Trump becomes the president of the US in January, as Biden administration has been imposing various sanctions on China companies in getting advanced US chips.

For YTL Power, it is providing the resources (land, electricity and water etc.) to build data centres in its Kulai DC Park for everyone to lease and use. So far, most of the clients secured are American companies, with SEA Ltd being a Singapore based company.

YTLDC. Data centre is set to pilot YTLP’s next growth engine when the group acquired
1,600 acres of land in Kulai, Johor in 2021. To-date, YTLP owns 100% YTL Sentul DC
(5MW) in KL, 50% Dodid (12.5MW) in SG and 100% YTLDC (supporting up to 420-
430MW IT load) in Johor. YTLDC is promoted to become a Green Data Centre hub,
which will be supported by its 500MW of solar farm surrounding the physical data
centre buildings. We understand there will be 6 phases of development for YTLDC, of
which: (i) DC1 48MW mainly for Shopee; (ii) DC2 100MW for YTL AI Cloud; (iii) DC3
40+40MW for an undisclosed off-taker; (iv) DC4-6 have not secured any off-takers yet,
while there are parties expressed interest. The overall development of YTLDC remains
on track, as being guided consistently by the management. While the contract is
usually 3-5 years, management guided off-takers will usually renew the contract when
nearing expiry, as it take much effort and resources to migrate to another data centre.

DC1. Total IT load capacity of 48MW, with 32MW secured by Shopee, is being
developed over 4 stages over 4 years. The first stage 8MW has already been delivered
to Shopee in 4QFY24 and the second stage 8MW will be delivered to in Dec-24 (being
brought forward by 6 months, as per Shopee’s request). The schedule for the
remaining stage 3 and 4 (combined 16MW) are still in 2026 and 2027, potentially being
brought forward, subject to Shopee’s request. The other 16MW has yet to secure any
off-takers, but management highlighted there are active discussions with potential
clients on the capacity and YTL AI Cloud may take up the capacity to provide AI
services, utilizing NVidia technology.

DC2. Total IT load capacity of 100MW. 20MW secured by YTL AI Cloud (deploying
NVidia’s most advanced GB200 chipsets), is expected to be delivered (core & shell)
by Jan 2025, while the GB200 equipment will usually take 2-3 months for installation
and test runs, commissioning in Apr-25, indicating no delay in its AI-DC deployment.
The facility will be fitted with Direct-To-Chip cooling system technology. Management
is in constant engagement with NVidia and there is no request for changes in the
design for the cooling system, suggesting no issue with the recent GB200 server
overheating news. The other 80MW is expected to complete construction and
delivered to off-taker(s) in 1QFY26.

DC3. Total IT load capacity of 40+40MW. 40MW is secured by an undisclosed US
based off-taker, which will be completed (core & shell) by 4QFY25. Similar to Shopee,
the off-taker will take the capacity over 3 stages. The remaining 40MW
