1. Geely's pulling out from a bid for Proto has not been confirmed officially yet.
2. Even if Geely abandons a bid, PSA may become a foreign partner.

When ECommerce FTZ is launched who will benefit?

Answer:

1) All logistic firms like POS/DRB, GDExpress, Lazada & others

2) Fiber Optic Provider like OPCOM

3) Those who own warehouses or sell warehouses for goods


Who will suffer?

Those big departmental stall not in Tier 1 level might suffer. Some or many malls will close shop like in USA, China, Singapore & everywhere where ECommerce thrives.

Last year net losses was RM 991,900,000. With the stake sale deal crumbling, I don't see much positive outcome from it. Possible the deal will fall out. Don't gamble on it guys. Geely boss is pulling out his bid.

simple fact here, Geely just wanted DRB to sit down and commit seriously to their bid. dun forget both PSA and Geely parent shares went up on announcement of Proton bid. if they withdraw without going through bidding process, their respective shares will be affected too.
