Ramalan: Selepas 3 suku, EPS YTLP teleh mencatat 2.14+2.45+6.41=11 sen.

@bullrun2025 i adopt the forecast done by HLB, which is Rm 2.05.

So, now you know the impact from the hike start from 1 April to Wessex, which is around 8.3%.

Zhuge_Liang, I am looking at Genm, Genting, Bonia and Padini besides YTL & YTLPower.

I think the first 2 may have more meaningful rebounds after the state elections.

Bonia and Padini are good consumer plays, both at net cash position and have strong operating cashflows.

For Q4, I expect EPS to be between 2 sen and 6 sen. I assume the following:
- there is still provision item in Wessex (index-link bond that I do not understand)
- Jordan plant to contribute to revenue but not profit due to start up cost

@goody99, you may probably be right, as I am also looking at around 6 sen EPS for Q4 partly due to your 2 reasons above.

As interest rates got raised by another 0.5% in the past quarter, I suspect there may be more provision in Wessex' index-linked bonds.

Jordan power as you mentioned might incur some start-up costs as the 2nd unit was commissioned. Furthermore, recent news suggests that Nepco had only been paying half of the fees recognised in the PPA.

Posted by bullrun2025 > 2023-07-20 12:46 | Report Abuse

@dragon328, if nepco only pay half to YTLp, May I know that the Jordan power plant profit or lost for this quarter

@bullrun2025, if Nepco only pays half of the PPA payments to YTLP Jordan Power, then the other half may be classified as trade receivables and get capitalised in the balance sheet, while the full payment is recognised as profits in the P&L. This is one way of accounting treatment.

On the other hand, if the other half payment is no way in sight of receiving from Nepco, then Jordan Power may not recognise the full PPA payments as revenue in the P&L and hence will book in some losses as its operating costs are more than half the PPA payments.

Posted by bullrun2025 > 2023-07-20 14:46 | Report Abuse

@dragon328, how about the cash flow if nepco only pay half

cahsflows wise it will be more straightforward. It will be just cash coming in, even half of PPA payments may be just enough to service the debts

PM too eager to get foreign investment to boost up economic, but, starlink or tesla only offer very limited investment if without setting up manufacture plant, both only aim to sell their internet service and selling car only at expense of local business.

Investors are eating up all sell orders at 1.31.
It is a good news here.
Is EPF still continue to sell at 1.32, 1.33, 1.34 and 1.35 ?
Still has big orders to sell, is it belong to EPF ?

Don worry about trap as upcoming 27 July, Gov will announce super big Green energy transition plan to boost up solar power generation and export green energy to Singapore, in which YTLP is key beneficial due to exposure both in Msia and Singapore energy market

Short term, YTL (YTL construction/YTL cement/ Mcement) all enjoy upfront development profit on green data center and solar power plant building work.

Once commissioning, Long term, YTLP enjoy steady concession like solar power generation profit + long term green data Center rental income. YTL as major shareholder, indirectly enjoy YTLP long term steady profit income
