It means it has formed a shooting star candle. It means the technical rebound is over n it has staged a reversal.

It means it is heading lower after today.

Last traded 1.91. Bcause last low of 1.88 is so near to this 1.91, the reversal will definetely take out this 1.88 n it will head for new lower low.

It is downtrending.

You are probably right that we will need to wait till the budget 2024 announcement next Friday to see where the market is heading to.

I suspect the weak market sentiment in these few days is mainly due to the concern on any market disruptive policy to be announced in the coming budget, such as capital gain tax or increased gaming tax or luxury tax or sugar tax etc. Hence we are seeing stocks in most sectors are dropping like Genm, Bonia, Panamy, Nestle, Heneiken, F&N, MSM etc.

Dear dragon328,
Most of investors are worried on higher bond yield and another round of interest rate hike at the end of 2023 in the U.S.
Do not blame investors in KLSE, last 3 years of bear market in KLSE, many old timer investors lost a lot of money until they are frightened to invest on a longer term basis.
The present style of investing in KLSE is to make peanut profit and run for life.
My 2 cents comment.

Before I leave my 3 storey bungalow mansion in my rover to go for fast walk around a breezy lake and coffee, let me pen you a little something that would elevate your low IQ a little bit:

1. You need to be flexible about your view of the market.

2. You do not commit so rigidly one way or another, because you can be wrong and you can be very very wrong.

3. This is where a cut loss trigger comes into play. Because you can be very very wrong in your view of price direction and it is deadly if you commit rigidly to your view no matter what.

4. That is why you need to recognise and admit your mistake early and get out at some losses before they become unbearable.

5. For very active traders, if they hv a little doubt, they would get out even at breakeven even after 2 mins of getting in.

5. If you do not know or not sure to see that you are wrong, then simply set a limit at 3 - 5% below cost if you are active traders. If you are not active, then set it at 7 - 10%, even if you are buying it for long term, bcause you can be wrong and CAN BE VERY VERY WRONG. Once hit, get out. In the US market, you can key in this stop loss order ahead of time. But here our bursa/brokers trading software does not include that feature.

6. Your chain of thoughts should go like this: you commit your view one way, but at the same time you should be flexible enough to change your view 3 times a day based on what the market is doing, based on what you see on the screen. Because every bid that comes in, the way price moves, the pace of its movement, how it is traded throughout the day, provide you a clue of its direction or a confirmation of your current view.

7. Now if you commit rigidly your view in one direction and this is reinforced with you having followers with subscription, like paid newsletters, you would lose this flexibility which is vital to your success. It psychologically shackles you and it works negatively against you, and IT IS A VERY STU - PID THING TO DO.
