While the near term prospects centre on PowerSeraya and Singapore, the tangible medium term outlook will depend on Wessex Water's revenue determination for 2025-30 and its impact on YTL Power's market capitalisation. Other investments and projects will also contribute to eventually achieving (easily!) an eps of 40 sen for FY2024

This coming Friday , Nvidia CEO Huang may have announcement together with YTL .
If there is some JV ,then tomorrow after trading hour ,YTL will request for trading halt on Friday.

The Bank of England will keep Bank Rate at 5.25% on 14 December and
through the second quarter of 2024, a Reuters poll showed, although a slim
majority of participants said risks were tilted towards the first cut coming
earlier than expected. British inflation cooled more than expected to 4.6% in
October from 6.7% in September yet economists as a group now expect only a
25 basis point cut in the third quarter compared to 50 basis points in a

UK house prices rose for the second month in a row, according to one of
Britain’s biggest mortgage lenders, in a further sign that a lack of properties
for sale and cheaper borrowing costs are underpinning the property market.
Halifax said the average value of a home rose 0.5% in November to £283,615
(RM1.32mn), following an upwardly revised 1.2% gain in October. It left prices just

Did you know that Proton, our Malaysia's national carmaker, is targeting to launch its first EV in 2025? Toyota Malaysia also plans to follow suit and enter the electric space in the next few years. This is in line with our Government’s goal of having 1.5 million EVs on the road by 2040.


How it is going so far


The Electric Vehicle (EV) market in Malaysia is relatively small but growing rapidly. According to the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), 2,717 EVs were sold in 2021, a significant increase from the 1,642 units sold in 2020. 💁🏻‍♀️🚘


EVs are also becoming more affordable. BYD, the vertically-integrated Chinese EV automaker (largest EV maker in the world) has entered the Malaysian market offering affordable EV options such as the Dolphin model and the popular SUV Atto 3 model.


Challenges and opportunities

Government can already see that demand for electric vehicles (EVs) will far outstrip that of internal combustion engine (ICE) cars within its 2023-2032 forecast period.


"We currently forecast total EV sales to quadruple in 2023."


The upfront cost of EVs are still higher than gasoline-powered cars in many cases. However, this cost is expected to come down over time as battery technology improves and economies of scale are achieved.


Another challenge is the availability of charging infrastructure. While we are estimated to have more than 1,200 charging stations in Malaysia, there is still room for improvement. Under the Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint, the Government plans to install 10,000 charging stations by 2025.

Recent news regarding Nvidia are Nvidia to invest in Japan for opening an AI base, Nvidia unveils plan to to build AI supercomputer in Singapore, US ban Nvidia chip to enter China, and Malaysia with Nvidia cloud gaming with YES plan earlier this year.

Speculation ofcourse, must be something big from Nvidia to Malaysia especially the CEO personally come to KL for conference later this evening.

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 8): US-based artificial intelligence (AI) chip giant Nvidia Corp, which is mulling a plan to set up a data centre in Malaysia, believes AI data centres could be a new manufacturing sector for the country.

Nvidia chief executive officer and founder Jensen Huang Jen-hsun highlighted that Malaysia could be an excellent data centre infrastructure hub for Southeast Asia.

“Traditional data centres are designed to hold data, but the new AI data centres are essentially AI factories, where raw data will be refined and transformed to valuable data.

"Malaysia is a very strong manufacturing nation, and I believe your country has a unique advantage to potentially become an excellent data centre technology hub for Nvidia in the Southeast Asia region,” he told reporters in a media round-table session during his maiden visit to Malaysia on Friday.

Citing sources, Reuters on Friday reported that Nvidia is in advanced talks with Malaysian power-to-property conglomerate YTL Corp Bhd on a data centre deal.

The potential tie-up would include collaborating on cloud infrastructure, and is likely to be anchored at YTL's data centre complex in Johor.

When asked, Huang declined to confirm or deny the report. He, however, pointed out that Malaysia had “terrific companies”, such as YTL and Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas), which could be excellent partners to build data centre infrastructure.

“YTL is an extraordinary company, with incredible leadership and legacy. YTL understands data centre infrastructure. It would be our privilege to work with them.

"Having said that, I won’t be able to confirm anything today (Friday),” said the tech executive of the world's most valuable chipmaker.

YTL Power International Bhd, through its unit YTL Data Center Holdings Pte Ltd, had previously announced plans to develop a 500MW data centre park dubbed the “Green Data Center Park”, with an estimated investment of RM15 billion spanning seven years.

The company will invest about RM1.5 billion in the first phase of the project, which will feature a data centre facility with a 72MW capacity. The project is expected to be ready by March next year.

It is worth noting that in March this year, YTL Communications Sdn Bhd’s Yes 5G, alongside Nvidia, brought Nvidia’s GeForce NOW cloud gaming service to Malaysia.

YTL Communications is 60% controlled by Bursa Malaysia-listed YTL Power, whose share price had gained 73% over the past six months.

Temasek is in talks with Nividia to set up thier iconic AI site in the island state. Singapore EDA { Economics Development Board} If the collaboration materialised and NIVIDIA finalised the Data centre deal with YTL { at their JB hub} the possibility of Temasek and Nividia holding stakes in YTL data centre hub cannot rule out. Guys this is unconfirmed wait for the final announcement. AI site and Data centre collaboration...... Cheers if all the deals push thru
