According to news media reports such as Singapore's Lianhe Zaobao and Channel NewsAsia, there are not many alternative energy options in Singapore, and solar photovoltaic systems are the best choice for power generation based on existing technical and economic feasibility. One study estimates that solar energy could meet about a quarter of Singapore's peak electricity demand by 2025

@dragon328 That link is for the overall net buy sell for whole of bursa.
Bursa has the individual data but they do not want to publish the data for individual stocks.
My point was that the heavy selling yesterday on bursa was not done by foreign funds.
On the other hand, I don't know what the local funds are up to.
Reminds me the time last year when EPF off-loaded YTLPower at 60s

CRESS initiative gets the thumbs up
TheStar Tue, Jul 30, 2024 12:00am - Yesterday

PETALING JAYA: Industry observers are largely optimistic about the impending introduction of the 👉Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS) in September, despite its lack of details at this juncture.

Analysts and fund managers say the initiative is a move in the right direction in freeing up Malaysia’s renewable energy (RE) market, as the country accelerates along its commitment towards enforcing the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR).

The CRESS, which was announced by the Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry last Friday, enable RE generators and eligible corporate users to enter into green power supply arrangements under agreed terms through the existing supply system.

This would allow companies to directly source RE from identified providers with third-party access (TPA) to the existing electricity grid that are participating in the New Enhanced Dispatch Agreement market.

Cktay, theres a of local fund managers as well. You will be suprised by their capital haha, Alot of factors to decide whether klse will be in a bearish mode or a bullish mode but not due to internal factors.It will most likely be decided first by the feds first tonight. If i am a foreign investment firm, klse is definately top on my list. Singapore is too stable and boring for my liking. HK&YEN exchange too bearish and the rest are not attractive. So now is just a waiting game

All of these we need to worry about.

Ya dragon328 points are spot on, these are facts . For mid to long term investors, these points are more than enough. Risk internally or i would say in malaysia is already minimal. My concern would be TNB efficiency and the madani goverment haha. Now the market sentiment in klse is more or less depending on global sentiment.

AirTrunk opens AI-ready data centre in Malaysia
https://theedgemalaysia.com/node/720925

@dragon328
this one not AI DC ?

Posted by StartOfTheBull > 2 months ago | Report Abuse

Competition is the key.
YTLP maybe the first AI data center in Malaysia.
The mushrooming of data centers in Malaysia will eat up the limited size of the pie although the pie maybe growing bigger and eventually it will come to the time of saturation.
It is also important to watch who are able to share a bigger size of the pie. Only time can tell.

@Lanesra ..... nice to read your arguments here, and I can assume that you are a short time or perhaps contra trader, when you talk about sharks and ikan bilis..... the key investors and also myself are for long term investment, and have been holding since the price was RM2++ therefore there are lots of buffer and so called attacks from "sharks" as you seem to be living in ocean LOL ..... has little to no impact and its just short term :-) always see the bigger things in life buddy and longer period, shutting out "noises" on fundamentals and investment portfolio will grow..... happy hunting

@Agil
Thank you for the shared link.
So Microsoft plans to grow capital spending because Microsoft is a customer of Nvidia for graphics processing units, therefore Nvidia is benefited.
Similarly, I guess Microsoft will also use the same graphics processing units for its data center in Johor, Malaysia.
Will it happen that Microsoft cloud storage services less saleable than YTLP data centre which also situated in Johor?
Can anyone here share?
